Hi all,

Just had a look at the new brca homoogation list for lipo and it seems as though the trackpower cells from last year are no longer legal there seems to be a new batch of trakpower cells submitted which essentially look the same as those from last year but with a new sticker on them, does this mean all our trakpower cells from last year are now not legal for brca use?

Mark, the section committee agreed to grandfather the cells on the 2008 list forward into 2009 to protect the investment of those who had already bought cells.
There is a note, in large bold red letters, to this effect on the front of www.CentralBooking.org

No problem, have you considered glasses :p

The 2008 list was specifically created for the TC section and was an open list during 2008 - which was closed at the end of 2008.

The cells at the bottom of the new 2009 2S list are those that WERE on the 2008 list BUT have not been re-submitted to the EB for the BRCA general 2009 approval. As it says in the blue bar "The following Packs were approved for the BRCA T/C Stock Class in 2008, and comply with 2009 technical requirements."

The 2009 list is a frozen list and no more cells can be added to it until the 2010 battery approval cycle.

hi it says that the tc section committee is allowing the cells to be used does that mean if you are running a different class you can only use the cells off the new list?

The TC-2008 list, which is clearly titled as specific to the TC section, only applies to TC ;)

Any other classes that use LiPo then it's the 2009 list only.

Just remember that the BRCA approval lists only apply to BRCA sanctioned events, OR events where the club/event organiser chooses to follow the BRCA lists. They do not have to do this it is their choice.
