I have bent the left hand side driveshaft on my car its a yokomo. i am just wondering if there was anyway to unbend it or do I have to buy a new one?

thanks

you could try putting the dogbone in a vice of a while, I managed to straighten my driveshaft a little like this, I was still able to run it for a couple of extra races until I got new ones, The drive CVDs for the Yokomo SD are £22 for the pair. Just remember if you do run with a bent driveshaft, it will effect the handling of the car and may even damage the wheel bearings so be careful.

Careful use of a vice and muscle may do the job.

if its a yoko that uses the cvd type driveshaft
you can buy the bone part on its own.
about £8 each for the ally one less for standard steel.

hello all,

I bent it back with a pair of pliers, I heated it up and then it was much easier to bend. its almost perfect, i put it back in the car to chek for vibration and binding but seems okay.

thanks again
