Hyper 7 set ups

I have a Hyper 7 PBS, I know its old but we all have to start somewhere lol, has anyone got any setup sheets or advice on a starting point as I want to do a bit of racing, will probably be at tracks such as Frankley(astro) Stoke(astro) Sutton(grass/dirt) and Telford(grass?) I have looked on the cml site and theyve only got Hyper 8.5 onwards. I can pm my email if you want to email any to me, many thanks in advance.

Hi. I'm new to nitro and ran a box fresh Hyper 7 at the local club and it was awful. Massive understeer, hopeless brakes, loss of traction on inside wheels etc. I looked at the CML site and rebuilt the car using the hyper 8.5 setup as a guide and it transformed the car. I think the main benefit was the centre diff oil being much thicker which put a bit more power up front and heavier oil in the front and rear diffs to make the torque spread more evenly through the drive train. Perhaps start with the Hyper 8.5 settings and modify/soften them a bit. The car's are quite similar in layout and basic components so 8.5 set ups probably work quite well.
