I'VE JUST BUILT A TC3 RACER KIT I'VE GOT A TEAM ORION 27T STOCK MOTOR BUT WHEN I DRIVE IT, IT'S NOT GOING VERY FAST. A LITTLE BIT QUICKER THAN WALKING SPEED I'VE GOT A 2400 BATTERY IS THAT THE PROBLEM IF NOT WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE?
THANKS

Jamie,
The car / motor / battery is not the problem. They should be able to get you up and running pretty quick. I suggest you check the transmission for binding (take the motor out and roll the car across the kitchen floor, should roll without too much effort for 4 or 5 yards)
If there is any resistance in the transmission, you need to identify and fix it. If the transmission is free them you need to look at gearing and setup.
Hope this helps

Hi
i have a very strong feeling that your diffs are running far too loose.
this means it will seem ok whilst it's off the ground but as soon as you put it on the floor there is zero torque going to the wheels meaning no speed.
just tighen the diffs and you'll be away :D

p.s
post this in the associated section and you'll have loads of replies"

If the diffs were loose and slipping it probably means youve wrecked them...
Flip over the diff plates, and possibly change the balls... Also have a look at your thrust race... Possible flip the plates on that if they look worn...

Just thought of what it might be...
Do you have the new White gears? They are for the nitro but associated thought sod it and supply them with all kits now. And have now sotopped selling black gears.
Anyway i'm not going into details, at college...

If you are running the plastic style diffs, there is a chance that the diff plates have moved during assembly, causes some pretty horrific handling with the car. The plates are also different between the old style metal diff and newer plastid diff outputs so beware. Interchanging parts is not possible!!!!
Ask someone who runs the TC3 at your local club if you can look over their car, you might spot whats wrong and sort it that way.
