Hi.
Ok I think I have decided on a car (after chatting to some peeps) The Team Associated B44 4WD. Now I need tio find out what you guys think are the best speedos etc to start out with again. When i was racing there was no brushless motors etc.
So I need to find decent speedo, motor, servos, controller, batteries, charger and reciever. Do i need to be looking for anything else??

Hi Gavin,
First of all welcome back, R/C racing has once again been growing over the last few years and is probably down to the fact everyone has the same sort of power etc.....
I noticed you are from Bedford/Milton Keynes area so local club for you will be Stotfold Model Car Club, they run every Sunday and is about 25 mins from your area!!!
If you are looking to get back into Racing then you will prob be best off visiting on of these weekends and im sure the local shop that supports the Stotfold club can help you with everything you need.
Failing that then a few things that could help:
When you ask about Electrics you will normally get people who are sponsored recommend what they are running... I am no different really, but i have run nearly every brushless system out there!!!
I will go through the top ones....
LRP - Good all round brushless speedo/motor
Nosram - The Red version of the above, again good all round.
Novak - Great speedo BUT i have been through 4 of them!!!! Motor's are really good, but sensor lead is permanently attached.
Tekin - Sensored RS Pro and new motors, will work in all conditions as the speedo will switch to sensorless if any water/dirt gets in there.... none of the above do this!!!
Servo's:
I personally would go for the half size servo's nowadays as they allow more room, pretty cheap and good if you purchase a new car that may need one!!
Transmitter's: are all down to personal preference....
Batteries: You have the choice of Lipo or NIMH, BEWARE lipo's are legal from April or something BUT the actual cells that are legal won't be announced till around then.

Hi Gav,
I run 10th Off Road, x11 08 and X Factory X6. Normally race at Stotfold for local meetings. Silverstone also have a new purpose built track but do not run during the winter.
