Yes they are very good. The black belt makes the drive-train spin like a shaft drive car. Losi have been testing the belt for around 8 months (and they have actually been run over here since last June), and they make a real difference. The belt is wider and made of a fiberous material. You can run it looser and it won't slip.
This is one extra that is really worth a go!

Are the UK team drivers using them yet?

I think they have only just been released in the US so they should be with helger soon.
(they dont have any at the moment, I just ordered mine)

Think I may get myself the set when its over here.
Shame it'll cost us nearly twice as much as US drivers though!

All the losi guys were running the new pulley and belt at the Snowbirds last week (www.snowbirdnationals.com)
I'm going to try the longer pulley and black belt when they come out here.

Yes the UK team have been running them on and off for quite a while now, and the car is much freer with them on. Glen TQ'ed the KO GP with one on and obviously David won the BRCA nationals with one on.

Are they still removing every other tooth when using the black belt?

No we haven't been removing any teeth from the new belts, they really are so free that you don't need to. We also weren't convinced the material they were made out of would stand up to it as well as the more plastic feeling standard belts.
