Hi all,

As I have already posted, I am going to be buying a TC3 Factory Team. ;D

Can you guys recommend any other options/extras that it is worth buying at initial purchase (to save on shipping and so that I have them for when I will probably need them at a meeting!).

I am thinking stuff like springs etc I know I have to get wheels and a shell as factory team doesn't come with one (how tight is that!!).

Thanks in advance

Baz

Hi Baz.
You might want to invest in spares such as wishbones and hubs/Hub carriers, but im sure you could pick these up at your local model shop.
The springs would be a good idea, you can buy the complete set for a reasonable price.
Maybe another rear shock tower to add to front, alot of people do this at certain tracks.
Im sure you could pick any parts up at your local shop anyway.
HTH :)

Apart from Craig's suggestions, you shouldn't need any options for the FT, it is Ace out of the box ;D

It might seem tight not to give wheels and tyres - but how many people have you seen racing the tyres that come with the racer - so it saves you chucking them away!

Get it, build it and have fun!

i would recommend buying the hex drivers in advance as the allen keys are not up to the job

id say a rear shock tower for the front and rpm ball ends. fgastrax alloy servo posts are also godd as they dont strip like the plastic 1s. everything else is fine.

You could also get some IRS alloy diff halves, but don't forget the pin cushions or you will mash them up >:(

Diff halfs arnt neccesary atall they arnt lighter and they are stupidly expensive. Also the pins in the associated alloy driveshafts are near impossible to remove to replace with pin cusions. Id stick with the standard plastic 1s an spend £50 on something useful.

I've broken the plastic ones twice without hitting anything >:( you can see they get weaker over time...

Must have too much power! ;D

How'd you manage that?
Sure your diffs arnt to tight, this is known to melt the plastic outdrives.

No, the diffs aren't too tight. They broke where the shaft attaches to the out drive

Well since ive run with all the top of the range powerful stuff 12t fantom etc and never had a problem i very much doubt it was done without crashing.
