I should be doing 1/12, fingers crossed - also , at Vincent's request, 1/12 has been moved to be the last heat to run , rather than the first, so that everyone knows where they are timewise , doing their additive and 'drying off' tyres etc.

Thanks everyone, some great racing today, and I thought the track held up pretty well all day. Andy Lodwick was flying in 1:12 today:p well done ! The 1:10 27T A final looked to be a real humdinger as well with less than 1.5 seconds covering the first three cars across the line:)
See you all in 2 weeks

I didn't wake up and missed it. Will really make an effort for the next one because I want to do the winter series!
I've fixed together a car for my dad to race, its a 1:10th 4 cell with an 8x1 in it because I sold all my stock and 19t motors years ago. The speed is comparible to my 13.5, will there be a class to accomodate this?
yinkymoka
27-10-2008, 05:57 PM
Dont think so ,have a look at the schedule.A 8 x 1 modified motor is no way the same speed as a 13.5bl .
1:12 running 10.5 Brushless or 19T Brushed Motors
1:10 Touring running 13.5 Brushless or 27T Brushed Motors
1:10 Touring running 10.5 or 19T Brushed Motors
At Bedworth they run a combined class for 10.5 & 4 cell mod and according to the feedback on their forum they claim are closely matched. So it may be allowed in with the 10.5 if you ask nicely.

Sounds like a trouble maker to me.Dont you understand the schedule .If they make allowances where does it end.
But of course it isnt up to me Peter and Keith will have to decide. In fact i dont really care let the TC run what they like.
But be warned Peter ,watch this Rick guy sounds like he is up to no good.

Sheesh it was just a simple question
Can I not turn the throttle max down on his transmitter, its just club racing at the end of the day and the more people there the better? He wont be near the top of the heats anyway.
I don't have money to throw at it and I had some old cells which I changed to 4 cell and a modified left over from when I did race in the nats, It's just a scratch car to be fair. And I did say it was comparible to a 13.5T. mine ;)
Dont mind Vinny, he actually PM'd me saying he agrees with what I say, but cannot say it in public as he has to maintain his image as "A Grumpy Old Man" :p

Your dads welcome to borrow one of my brushed stock motors its not like im short of them , come and see me trackside - that way fairs fair

Rick and I were just having a joke.Best to email Peter and ask him.But as you have an offer of a 19t you shouldnt have a problem. The more the merrier

he can borrow a 27t or 19t choice is his ;)

Straight out the Lee Dyson "legal stock box" ;)
At the risk of being called a bother causer, I dont think the loan of a motor will solve his problem as it sounds like he only has 4 cell packs

haha never knew i had one of them :) yeh ''legal stock box'' hmmm...
At least it puts him in a class of stock or pro stock thats all even though hes at a disadvantage with 4 cells, as i said in earlier post it sounds like hes learning from his sons throw together car so he doesnt want to be going fast just learning the basics.

We're currently going with the popular classes, I have read the 4 cell mod thread on here and it seems fine for those that wish to run there, also there are enough drivers all running the same spec cells and motors. We've had a driver running a 5 cell 19T motor which was allowed in with the 13.5 class , however I'm not even sure this is 'speed equivalent'.
So for the series we're strictly sticking to 27T Brushed rebuildable or sealed motors and 13.5 brushless , with 10.5 brushless and 19T Spec motors in a separate class. Cells must be six Sub C or 7.4V Lipo only, if anyone else wants to run alternative motors then let me know, however points won't be counted
Hope to see everyone in just over a weeks time :)
