Hi All

Got my MI2 today. Horray! Bit stuck on the front C-Hubs though.
It says in the manual that they should look like they
are leaning back but I can only get one side to do this.
The other one leans forwards. Anybody else with similar problem?
Maybe I been sent odd C-hubs?

Cheers

Gib.

did read somewhere that could be your problem... better talk to Schumacher and I am sure they will sort you out.

Remove both "C" hubs (or caster blocks as most people refer to them) and hold them up together in the same orientation (looking front on). You should be able to see that the holes are drilled at oposing angles, one hole will have it's entry point higher than the other.

The other, and possibly easier to see, is take a long hinge pin and slide both blocks on it (same way round. They should "point" in oposite directions, if they both point the same way then you have 2 that should be on the same side and hence you have a problem ::) and i would suggest contacting the shop where you bought it.

When i had mine i had two castor blocks the same, could be that, theres notr much to tell them apart, so could be the reason

All they needed was L and R

Thanks for the feedback.

I shall have one final check before ringing shuey but I rekon I got 2 leftys
when I should have one lefty and one righty (like you said Paul and Remo)
Nothing major, especially since the kit is so different to the original !

I thought it was just going to be a face lift and all the images that came out looked a bit too `samey`, but its sooo not the case. Well done Shumacher. Im a happy Shuey punter 3rd time round.

Also worth marking them once you have built the car to avoid any mistake during a hurried track side rebuild later.

I had the same problem and Schumacher sorted this immediately - it appears to be a common problem.

Also had no pistons etc for the shocks and an axle that would not allow the hex nut retaining pin to go through - but the customer service was first class

It seems to be a problem in the first batch of kits that the yokes have not been included as pairs.

Work out which side you have got by looking at the pics in the manual and give Schumacher a ring.
I had two lefts, rang the factory and a right came next morning in the post.
As has been said an L & R moulded would help. Also orderd the 2 & 6 degree yokes, the 6 have arrived but have no markings either!

Suggest you mark the degree and side on the yoke, I did it with a engraving point on the old dremel.

Still it is worth it the rest of the car went together like a dream, and it flies on the track, the handling and responsiveness is superb
