I'm pleased to announce we now have one more roll of new carpet to expand our track and replace the the green carpet we currently have.

This will be down for the next meeting, we should gain about 6 metres more track length. Also Keith has been busy working on the high visability yellow car friendly corners , so we should have some more for the next meeting too...

Got the track design from the Chesterfield Nationals drawn up, do we think we could run it on Sunday ? Having spoken to a few of the club members a more technical track should go down well, with stocksbridge's carpet been a bit bigger it should stretch out nicely to suit both 1/10th and 1/12th cars.
Will bring the plan along and have a look at it early Sunday.
Look forward to the new carpet, should work out good on the full length straight.
See you all soon

We should be able to do the track layout, I think the new carpet will be somewhere in the middle though with the 4 short oldest bits where they've been for now. On the startline any excess additive can mark the carpet a little bit and it's not too bad on the oldest stuff. Also if we bring the short bits towards the middle , theres more risk of fetching the tape up with making bends on or near the joins.

Long term our next aim is to save up for 10 more transponders and then eventually replace the four short bits of grey carpet, but thats a long way away yet :p

I'd nearly forgotten about the new carpet this week  , yes it should be excellent and with a few more car friendly corners I hope we arrive at a nice layout :) (It could be worse we could be racing in the dark like Lewis this weekend)
