anyone ever seen one? there aparently quite rare but the other day i picked one up on ebay for £6+postage
here it is: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130250062302&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=003
so, what can you guys tell me about it? i know the chassis is handmade and i am going to make one myself out of carbon fibre and that it has a bearing diff and 4 bolt wheels, im also going to rip it apart and make it a nitro monstrosity :D
where can i buy parts for it? i need the steering linkages and some new wheels/tyres
i know that the new RC10R5 wheels and tyres fit but i cant find those anywhere either

It will be 235mm wide. You may have to look at shops based in the US to get a 235mm shell. I dont think its an associated; the chassis is different to any associated pan car I've seen. If it is associated then it is a very early model.

thanks, theres a mint never used one of these cars on ebay.com for $300 and something :D
i plan on making it a new CF chassis after converting it to nitro
is it possible to get metal spurs for these?
apparently the 2 shells it comes with are the correct size, so ill get them cleaned and re sprayed, and if the merc shell fits properly, get a drift spoiler for it;)
i also have a hyper 7 twinpower custom built by myself so i know about nitro but unfortunately i am not in the slightest interested in electric lol
will look at us shops now :)
It might be a 10L pod, but that's definitely a home-made chassis.
Never seen a metal diff gear for one to these, so maybe a mild gas motor in that!! :D

mild? what is the meaning of the word :D
looks like ill have to get a metal one created then :(... several of them for different gearings lol
what does the L in RC10L stand for? the RC10 is a buggy so...
Losi. The original idea for the RC12 car was taken from a car that Gil Losi developed by mating an Associated car with a Delta car back in the early 1980s. This combined the sliding kingpin front suspension with a T-bar, and worked very well compared to the designs that were around at the time. Since the same design went into the larger car, I guess they gave it the same letter.
Back then, Losi was a shop and distributor who worked very closely with Associated. Much later, Losi went into making cars, starting with a 2WD buggy. Here's some photos of the way we were! HTH :)

ooo thanks :D
well i got the car, got it striped, got it rebuilt (by the online manual) and now it is sat staring at me with its wheels misaligned and its broken mono shock
i need some linkages if anyone can help? steering linkages, also im unsure about converting it to nitro now, it seems so complicated and wrong lol
the weight of the stickpack, engine and fuel tank will im sure push the mono shock right down so it looks like there's too many problems for me to convert it to nitro :(, unless i convert it to nitro then stick it on ebay
i just dont like the prospect of electric, it all seems a bit over priced considering run time etc, you run your car and when the battery's flat that's it, game over, with nitro you just put more fuel in :)
