I've been advised to remove my droop screws as they are use less(by an old pro I will add) and set the droop by the length of the shocks. Is this something the team drivers would do?
Its on a xxx-s G+ by the way.

not sure exactly, but it does make sense.
if you have 2 shocks on the back of your car and they are 5mm out, if you set the droop so that it is right using the droop screws then you will have compressed one shock 5mm more than the other.
if you set your droop using the shocks only and not use the droop screws then it the above will not be a problem.
I too have had doubts about the droop screws, if the plastic 'bends' a little then it will change the droop etc etc...
it will be a right pain in the back side to set it using shock lenghts, but ultimately a 'better' way to do it.
the 2 questions that you need to anwser is
Does your car handle poorly at the moment with them in?
Do you want the extra hassle of changing shock lenghts to change the droop?
at the level I race my TC at I answered no to both.

I can confirm that (as far as i know) both spashett and ryan coxall (and so my guess is most TL drivers) don't use the droop screws.
Make the shocks the same length by adjusting the ball end clip, or if they are VERY different you can put spacers inside the shocks.

I personaly would rather spend that little bit of extra time setting the droop up on the shocks than racing and then it getting "tweeked" therfore making it handle different, I would say it is well worth it.

the richard cree lazy method - build shocks normally with enough spacers to obtain the minimum shock length you are likely to need. If more droop is required, unscrew the shock end a bit. It's only TC racing so you're never going to pull the end of the shock.

Now why oh why have I not done that, I mostly run foams indoors and setting the tweak week after week with the screws is a night mare, I had even put better screws on the bumper plastic so the plastic wouldn't bend when I adjusted the droop when the tyres got to low. I will now be doing it by the shocks. ::)
