I have just converted my SD using Rayspeed Kit. I have also changed the shock springs to rayspeed and the collars as well. However my car now has no ground clearance.
Any ideas on shock lengths?
Do I need to use long shock ends?
What springs from Rayspeed are you using if any?
Cheers

the new shock retainers are meant for use with the longer asociated springs or the rayspeed 1s.

I think the Rayspeed setup is designed for a longer shock, so yeah, you need the long ends. The team drivers use the SS shock bodies, which are 2mm longer - the standard shock is the SSS.

Thanks that would be the prob then... ;D
Anyone know where I can get the longer shock bodies (SS) in a hurry as I am racing Sunday?

Use the optional longer shock ends which come in the kit.
This is all I used when I built the rayspeed conversion in to Andy Cottom's car.
We had no ride height problems.

No need to get the longer shock bodies, just use the longer shock ends or get a longer shaft, if you want.

I set my shox to 66 mm with short ends, found that with longer ends I struggled to get ride height down, and with shorter shocks, i couldn't get enough droop.
Also found (But I AM a self-confessed part time pillock) that with shocks stood up at the front more, only inner two holes available on wishbone for lower shock mount, or tyres rub the shock body on full lock.
Also used a spacer on outer position of top link to raise rear roll centre, as otherwise front roll centre is same height as rear. Maybe down to preference, but I felt it was better.

If you want the shock towers to have more mounting postitions get the Rayspeed shock towers.
