Whats the best way to eliminate all resistance.

I recently raced an oval meeting and one guy racing had a lot more punch out his motor than i did. I am running older cells and thats the only thing i could explain a lack of punch from. I was also running a 14 pinion but wasn't in the same league of acceleration.

I understand better speedos have less resistance etc, soldering your batteries direct to the speedo before each race but what else can you do, whats the secret to getting all that punch out the motor?

do you solder straight to your motor or not this lowers resistence aswell i wouldn't recomend soldering straight to your batteries because if anything happens as it can sometimes happen andyou need to get your batts out fast you cant!
i would go for a good quality connectors!
ive also found my mate has more punch but only when he drives it different driving styles i think!
but thats just my opinion
