View Full Version : XXX & BK2 parts
Does anybody know if the front spindle carriers on the xxx are the same as the bk2 carriers?
They look identical but have different part numbers. bk2 carriers - 1122, xxx carriers - 4124(this also includes the rear hubs)
Anyone know??
Cheers.

The BK2 has two hinge pin holes, the XXX has only one.
Erm... I think i got confused.
What I meant to say is there any difference between the front spindles(not the carriers).
Oh, and i don't mean the stub axles either!
Thankyou.

I think I know what you mean. you mean the bit where the steering link attaches?
if that is the case I *think* they are the same. could be that the BK2 ones are graphite and the xxx are plastic though I am just speculating here. I don't know anything for certain.
to be safe, get the ones for the car that you run.

Losi apparently do a conversion kit now for turning a xxx into a BK2.
well, they do three kits. one for the front, one for the back and a complete transmission kit. All the parts you need, except the shell, to transform your car.
Can't remember where I saw it, probably somewhere on the Losi site.....
{edit} no it wasn't on the Losi site, it was an ebay.com
I've looked at those items on ebay.com, they are not complete upgrade kits. For instance, the rear kit does not include the new rear wishbones !!
I have heard rumours that Losi *MIGHT* release an upgrade kit, but nothing has been confirmed by them or Helger. Until it has been confirmed, I would ask your LHS exactly what parts you need to upgrade and buy them if you want.
Thanks for the info.
I'm not looking to change a xxx to a bk2. What i'm actually doing is converting my b4 to run losi front wheels so I don't have to remove the bearings from the wheels every time i want to change them. Plus the proline wheels are really buckled, making camber adjustments near impossible.
From what i've heard from people that have done the mod, it works really well. Doesn't mess up the steering geometry, overall width, bumpsteer or anything.
Apparently the losi wheels run very true as well and tyres always seem to be a better fit compared to the prolines.
