Hi guys
I have been running the Phi since january down at maritime and i must say i am very very impressed with it.
unfortunatly i have been having problems with diff's,i find that after two or three runs the Phi diff becomes very notchy and needs cleaning and rebuilding, so I got hold of an RDX diff but that still needs rebuilding once a week.
does anyone have any solutions to this problem or is it something that comes with owning a corally

Many thanks
Rob

There is a new improved design diff coming out for the Phi in a few weeks time ;)

Im the same, really love the car just struggling with the diffs. i Haven't been running the phi for long but i made sure i got the improved phi outdrive and nut before i started. i find that they still tend to work their way loose after 2 runs and the thrust bearing (being open to the elements) needs a rebuild every week.

Lets hope the new diff design that Mike says is on the way is a lot better.

ok fellas

there is nothing wrong the phi diffs except the main thrus plate balls they seem to wear out i have two phi diffs and the rdx diff in one of the phi diffs i run xray diff balls and in the other i run rdx ceramic balls and pully and the rdx diff as standard as for the diff undoing if you smear thread lock on the thread before building and let it dry once it has dried build the diff as normal i think you will find it will be ok do not put it together when wet it will nacker the plastic nut next time you take it apart the only other thing to do brush the carpet dust and genral debri from the diff between races to limit the amount of crap that will get drawn to it.

it works for me
