Just a little tip if you wana fit larger cells in a racer.
Take the two plastic battery straps and glue a strip of foam to there tops, then use the straps upside down.
My 2400 now fit without any stress on the car and still work fine the correct way round for my ni-mh.

Thats funny mine fit in fine and i don't need to use any modification to get them to fit.
