TA04 Body Mounts

Hi

I have just fitted the "Racing Body Mount Set" to my TA04.

Should the front mounts be vertical?

I only ask because mine are sloped 30 degrees from the vertical towards the back of the car!!

yes i think they should be, check you bumper isnt bent. Shouldnt be a problem though, just a bit of a pain to mount you shells on.

You are not kidding! This was my first attempt at fitting a non Tamiya shell (ie no marked points for the posts).

Lets just say I didn't make a very good job of it. :(

:) I smile, because I've been there and written off one (or two!) body shells through drilling the holes wrong, etc. and that's before I even reach the track!

I have recently purchased some no-brainer spike-thingys that allow me to mount the shell, gently press down, and hey presto! I have dimples/ marks to drill.

Who knows? Maybe I've finally learned a lesson?
