Hi all

My S1 is now built and running! Only problem is I seem to be missing the straps to mount the battery. the battery is a 6 cell shrink wraped thing (is that a stick pack?) sorry for my ignorance :-[

The instructions show a double strap type arrangement but I do not have such a thing in the kit. Is it a missing part or is it optional?

TIA

They are standard and should be with the kit.
I used to run stick packs but found it easier with saddlepacks, plus you lose a bit of wiring as well.

I had the same problem with my kit, schumacher sent me some for free. I find it a lot easyer with saddle packs, they fit in the car a lot better and do not fall out when you get t-boned.

I also didn't get any with my kit, which isn't a problem as I run saddle.
Maybe the newer kits aren't getting supplied with them!?

I got my kit at the end of Dec and that came with both straps and bars.

is it suppose to have saddle pack fittings then, i was told i needed to buy some at 5 quid, as they didnt have any in the kit, which they didnt.

Bah rubbish, their a standard kit item. Contact Schumacher and tell them whats going on and give them the name of the shop as well.

If you get desparate, then you can have mine for the price of postage :)

I've been through this ;)
The S1 version includes the stick pack holder,
The Carbon version does not.
I thnk the train of thought is that the carbon kit is 'more likely' to be bought by the 'more serious racer' who is more likely to have the proper saddle pack style cells, so not needing the stick holder.
