Hello All,

Just to remind you (and me) that the Wickham BRCA 1/12 National is:

Saturday 21st February 2004

&

Sunday 22nd February 2004

This is a serious post as I have had a few enquiries about the date in relation to other nationals in the month (Eg the 3rd weekend and NOT the 2nd)

No doubt I will get a few email and messages, but thought I would help you all out once in a while!!!

See you all there

Clive.

Just to clarify what Clive is on about, the third Saturday of this month is the 21st, the third Sunday is the 15th! the committee thought that going racing on Valentines day may lead to a few divorces, break up's etc so ran the meeting on the 21st.

At least Clive had the right dates for this one ;D ;D

Just to clarify Gareth's response..... he mentioned two thirds in one post, now it makes sense that it's on the 21st 'cos that's the nearest weekend to the real 2/3rds of the month. You see 2/3rds of 28 is 18 & 2/3rds but it's a leap year so 2/3rds of 29 is 19 & 1/3rd which is nearly the 21st. Blimey, I thought the church had a hard job working out Easter. At least March is correct 2/3rds of 31 is somewhere in the third weekend ;)

From Southampton along M27
Go along the M27 to J11 and do a U turn so you head back towards Southampton and get back on the M27. Stay in the inside lane and come off the next slip road (J10A) signposted A32 and follow it round the bend joining the A32. Keep going straight on over one round-about and you will then come down a hill towards a Shell garage with a round-about in front of it. Take the first exit off the round-about, go under the bridge and turn right into the village square. Go straight on through the square and the road bears sharp right down a hill. Go straight on here into Station road and follow it to the end. At the T junction turn left up the hill and follow the road, take the second left turn and you are in the car park.

From Portsmouth along M27

From Alton A32
Follow the A32 all the way into Wickham until you come into the 40MPH limit there is a church on your left and a turn to your right, turn right here and drive under the bridge and up the hill. The road bears sharp left at the top, turn right here into Station road and follow to the end of the road. At the T junction turn left up the hill and follow the road, take the second left turn and you are in the car park.

Just a note for drivers heading south for this event.

There are substantial roadworks on the M25 from the M4 to the M3. It's about 10 miles of speed restrictions (40MPH) and there are cameras in use... :o

On a trip back from Camberly on Wednesday there had been an accident and it took me 1h40 mins to clear the section.

Please ensure you allow additional time on your journey for this delay.
