not sure off the top of my head, have a look in the 'parts list' at the back of your manual. it should give a discription there too.

but if they are gold then it is most likey that they are Titanium Nitride.

just found out what they are made of. they are steel, heat treated then given the titanium nitride coating(gold finish)
The reason I'm interested is that i have had my car from new (appx. 6 months) but 3 weeks ago I crashed and broke a front shock shaft, no big deal entirley(my spelling is awful) my fault, brought a new shaft, lasted 2 races, no crashes, fitted a new one,3 races this time,
I' m now on my 4th shaft. I know what your thinking, there must be more to it ,but the car is fine not to much lock ect.ect
The original shaft was fine just wondering if there is a batch of over brital spare shafts out there. Thats the reason I'm interested in finding some titanium jobs if they are maid that is.

The reason they break is when at full lock your wheel touches the bumper and brace, if you get a knock then its see ya. Try cutting the brace down. You will also find this is exagerated when running inch up / pit Inters or long fron wheelbase.
The shafts are fine trust me I haven't broken one in 18mths and I race 3 times a week

Glad its not just me that had to do this, I thought it was a bit odd that I had to cut the front bumper.

But as Matt pointed out, it does need to be done.
