I would just like to say a big thankyou to Mike.

I was having some fun and games getting my new Assassin to handle exactly how I like ( It was good but not fantastic)

Anyway Mike very kindly came to the MK track and spent some time with me practising and assisting me with my set up. (OK if I'm completely honest replace assisting with teaching me how to set a car up properly ::) )

All I can say is WOW!! I have been grinning ever since ;D ;D Everyone at Milton Keynes on Sunday can vouch that the car is very much improved. But the strangest thing was all the changes that were made were almost the opposite of a lot of set-up sheets I have seen.

After having recently purchased the lower adj blocks for the pivot pins I fitted them tried them and have now taken most of them off!! :o For example instead of running -1 -1 (as is mentioned on a number of set ups) on the rear of the car have gone to 3 2 and the result? lots of grip! At the end of the day the car now runs very well very directional but really predictable.

I also have a new found respect for the SSB's as used in the STCC. I could never really get that much grip out of them before and I have now discovered they offer vastley more grip than any of the Take off i was running before ;D

So thanks again Mike once I master the lines on that corner at MK I'll be unstoppable! ::) ;D

Ade

So what did you end up with as a good set up ?

I am still running the rear with -1 and -1
I find it can be a little loose on tight corners.

Andy

Hi Andy I'll try and remember... I'll check later aswell!

The front is running 1 -1

the back is running.. this is the confusing bit the front normal pivot mount in position 3 and the rear is the lower pivot adj block downward facing in the upper hole.. I think that makes sense...

the front shock are on the outer upper mount point and the lower inner points

rear shocks are one hole out from standard postion and the outer lower points

I'm running 30wt oil all round with normal diff in the front

that's about all I can remember at the minute will have a look later when I get home.
