Yes I know it's getting a bit long in the tooth - but my XX4 is till competitive.

I race on a polished wooden floor so grip is it a premium. Now I used to run my CAT3000 with permanent 4WD (better under braking), but although I haven't tried it - everyone says that is a no-no for the Losi. Any particular reason why? And how would I lock up the 4wd on a XX4?

Also what benefit is there in running the one way diff? Who makes one that will fit?

Any help will be most welcome.

To lock up the clicker you need to undo the nut and slide a small tube on the shaft then put the nut back on.

This will stop the clicker working and give you 4wd under braking

Hi mate all you had to do is ask! :P The losi one way fits just change pulley over xxx4 to xx4, might have to ajust droop as the out drives need to stay fully into the bearings.
The Apex one way is better needs work to fit though pros cheaper/ stronger.

Hello mate - didn't know you came on here - Gary pointed me to this site when I was at Meers last weekend!

To use a losi one way diff in a XX4 you need to modify a XX4 pulley.
To use the apex one way you need to modify a XX4 pulley and get some new spacers made.
Paul Worsley is the man to speak to for either task.

Sounds like a lot of hassle - and with the way I drive I doubt it'll change much.

Might give the permanent 4WD a crack though - always allowed me to brake way late with the CAT (when I braked that is)
