My gear gear cover has seemed to come lose and when I try to tighten it it doesnt. I looked in the holes and are cross threaded >:(

If you put in a drop of super glue into the hole and then put in
screw and leave it for a few minutes the super glue sticks to the inside of the hole and around the screw threads then just undo the screw and new threads made to repair stripped threads.

Hi Chris
i had this problem a little while back with my xxxs
The front one is easily fixed as all you need to do is insert longer screws and place a bolt at the other end of each screw and it will hold the gear cover safely in place
The rear is completely different as the screw goes straight into the chassis, All i have done for the moment is i've replaced the two screws with the cap headed kind as these are wider and offer a better fit.
I am a bit disappointed in losi as i thought my stripping thread days were over when i ditched the tc3 :(
i guess the rest of the car makes up for it though ;D

I've just been on the losi site and came across this.

Do you think this would work for the gear cover, i think it may :D

Just put some M3 screws in the existing hole or you can go the expensive way and replace the chassis
