Flyers have been running 4 strokes for some years, mostly because they offer better scale rpm and sounds than 2 strokes. They still use total loss lubrication, glow plugs and nitro-methanol. They have more torque, easier starting and lower rpm, so potentialy longer life.
Road going 2 strokes are fading fast, it's just a metter of time. We must be flexible and respond to change positively.

Hi
Roughly the same legislation as the Americans have developed is at 'White Paper' stage with the EU currently.
So yes its something that might effect all I.C. racing but potentially only 1/5 initially, I wouldn't hold my breath about it encompasing all 2 strokes eventually.
Jim
Japan was running a series for Super Scale cars (Kyosho SuperTen, HPI SuperNitro, Tamiya TGX) running OS 4-stroke motors.
I will have to do a bit of surfing to get more details.

If you read the link it does not yet effect us as we do not run petrol/ gasoline!
thats the reason it effects 1/5th scale
