Blue Thunder Race Formula 20% is what I would use if I had one. I use this fuel in my TG10 and it produces a lot of power.
Basic spares should be wishbones, hubcarriers, belts etc.
You need a big space to run one as it goes quick in 3rd gear and needs a bit of room to slow down.
If you go onto the Schumacher website (www.racing-cars.com) you can download the latest newsletter, which ha the part numbers and prices of the alloy upgrades for the Menace, if you want it to be stronger.

Hi,
Gear change is automatic. I wouldn't say you would need to carry spare belts at all as they are very thick and strong, fully sealed as well.
If you're running on fields then you will find it will hardly break at all. However if you intend bashing it carry spare wishbones, yokes and hubs. Your best bet is to just get these in alloy.... saves a lot of hassle!
For fuel i would say Tornado or Byron 25% rather then BT.
To clean the Menace after mud just remove all exposed bearing and clean them, then wait for the mud, to dry and simply brush off. For all parts like the engine, manifold and pipe wd40 or nitro cleaner spray will be most effective.
So far on my Menace i have purple alloy wishbones, yokes and hubs and haven't broken it since getting them.... which is a promising sign.
To see the speeds of a Menace on a field check out my video:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/mollerjason/low_q-menace.wmv (right click save target as/ save to disk)
Please note that was using 16% on a rainy day so minimum grip and a low content fuel and it was still flying! Also it was completely stock when i took that video (in October last year).
Doing some pretty tough bashing i have broken one front and one rear wishbone, one front yoke and one front hub and bent two shock shafts.
Somehow i managed to break a suspension mount/hub but that was really a one-off! For the bashing i have done inn the three months i have owned it it is impressive.
For a field run I’m sure you'll break next to nothing.
Great fun car, nothing else like it.
Hope this helps!

You asked if the car changed gear automatically, and i was just saying it does.
Looking at rules can't see anything which stops me posting a few (small) pics here. if i'm wrong please PM me and i'll get rid of them, or if you Mods's can just edit them out, thanks
I have PM'ed you about the rest though.
For now here's some pics:

Please note it dosn't come with purple fuel pipe either, another of my small upgrades.
Thanks for looking in the rules, we only allow pictures as links! Good looking truck though!

Thanks for that Cartman.
Anyway is anyone else out there running the Menace?
I'm thinking of upgrading the engine to a Hyper 8-port or pullstart converted RB C5 just for more speed!. Was wondering what anyone thought of my plans.
The belt is up to the task, the diffs are as well so i cant see any serious problems.
