Is it me or are the shocks very hard to build! I am having a great deal of difficulty thread the ballcups onto the bottom of the shocks. It says you must not damage the shocks, by using the flat part of needle nose pliers and not the grippy part. I have been doing that but getting a few tiny scratches, and it seems impossible to screw it on all the way as the shock slips through the pliars no matter how insanely hard I grip! Is there a trick to this as it's starting to drive me crazy!!!

Grip the shaft just above the thread with a large pair of wire cutters. This part of the shaft will never contact seals because it is where the spring retainer sits so damage is not an issue.
Also worth theading ball end with m3 cap head screw before assembly

another trick is to use a pair of plastic pliers. this way you can grip the shaft with the grippy part of the pliers and cause no damage. this works fine for me.

Yeah I found them hard to build, once you get the rite techniques its a lot easyer.
