Hi chaps can anyone help me please. I have just gone over to brushless and lipo, and like a fool forgot to set the lipo cut off on my speed controller, and needless to say i have run it below what it should be and i cant now get the lipo to charge, is there any way i can save it or have i completely stuffed it, any advice appreciated, thanks in advance....nigel

In your own words "have i completely stuffed it". Afraid the answer is YES, sorry, but I've not been able to resurrect a LiPo that has been over discharged.

You have a pm back
I will repeat what i have said many times:
If you choose not to run a LiPO cut-off then once you notice the car to slow then pull over immediately, DO NOT drive back to the pits.
Even at Aldershot when my LiPo cut-off comes in there is not enough left to do a full lap, furthest is about 2/3rds of a lap before it cuts out totally, and that is at the 3v minimum and the car is barely slowing before hand.

My mistake being new to this, i automatically thought that the speed controller would pick up that it was a lipo and cut it off when it reached the required voltage. What i have done is put nimh charge in for 3 minutes, then charged it as normal. It charges up to 5000 but on the balancer the leds are not coming on to show a rough percentage of how much juice is in the lipo. I have now set the lipo cut off on the speed controller, i know its shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. I will try them out on wednesday night when i go racing at eastbourne, so its fingers crossed:'(

using nimh charging is NOT advised, but if you have not completly flattened the pack and its not ballooned, then it is a last resort option, how ever you MUST watch the cell at all times and moniter its voltage, if possible do it through a balancer such as trakpowers for added saftey
