Not to many in the UK I guess, either 1/12 or 1/10 but would a section in the "Cars" threads on this forum be helpful for those that have them and those that may want to own one to post tips, tricks & setups etc.
It sure would, and please start with Kev Creaser's set up from Teeside - he made the A!! Congrats to Kev, great effort!!

;D Kev Creaser for moderator ;D
Does he visit the forum ?
Might even get Adam Walker-Catchpole to post his also. Q 7th in the B and finished 3rd on Sunday in his 2nd national meeting. Home track advantage ;D
Are you changing cars Pete ?
Whats up with the Trinity ?

Adam ran pretty much kit setup apart from the blue center shock spring and maybe different oil.
I also had home track advantage with my car... my car also had the reliability of a chocolate fireman. Nothing to do with the driver as I proved!

Well done to kev his car looked good on the track all day ,Adam well deserved the finish he had on the sunday some will say home advantage personally I think it was down to the hard work the lad put in on the track and in maintaining the car(think jeff had a hand in that as well).

The car will only perform as well as the guy driving it if a car is well maintained and providing you don't stuff it into the track markers it will last the race,if the car is not maintained ie spur gear changed when damaged then you will have problems.
i had problems with the car all day saturday found the offending part on the car and replaced it on sunday to find an instant improvement as for the problems on sunday those were down to me not driving correctly, not the car get the car set up and looked after and drive the middle of the track and 8 min racing is more than acheivable.

Glenn
Kev only looks on the forum on odd occasions i think
Glenn,
No change here; delighted with my car and will be keeping it.
Griff almost always posts his Corally set-up after each National, and Matt R does the same for Trinity. I think it would be a great idea to do the same for the Calandra drivers out there, and you couldn't do better than Kev's (obviously good) set-up.
And anyway, it's an opportunity to congratulate a mate whose spent 20 years trying to make an A - we were all chuffed!!
Oh, I'll second the "Kev for Mod" nomination for the thread!! :)

What about having the same for associated? Okay, so there's already a page for associated cars, but all you ever see on there is touring car stuff. Perhaps paul ash or jim spencer could post their setups on here somewhere? ???

I've spoken to Kevin Creaser (Sunday 25/01/04) who has raced the cars for eons.
He's willing to be a moderator for the Calandra section threads.
Would you email or phone him more detail of what's involved @ kevin.creaser@virgin.net or his phone numbers in the BRCA 1/12 section of the handbook.
regards,
Glenn
Looks like Rob hasn't been online since the 22nd so we may need to wait a little while or maybe get in touch with Mike Smith. I'll send Mike a link to this thread.

Will phone Kevin tonight with the good news.
Adam's pc's not running as well as his car did so it'll have to wait a while. I'll see him at the weekend possibly and get some info. For now I'm sure he ran the AE 1/10 pan car side damper spring on his shock.
