I have recently bought a mission and wondering are any of the speed secrets worth buying and also are there any parts I should buy for spares that are commonly broke when racing.

I normally have a pair of both front and lower wishbones as spare as well as a set of the upper wishbones and one pair of the hub carriers.

If you search through the threads in this ection there are excellent lists of speed secrets as recommended by the Team drivers :)

I would say the ally wheel hexes, i found that they are very good and unlike the plastic ones they dont come off with the wheel! + they are purple!

The gear adapter is a good one because it stops the pin chewin up the inside of the cog and distributes the power evenly throughout the gear. also the alloy diff mounts, they are lighter, stronger and look alot better. good spares to have is steel driveshafts. i was also told that it is best to make sure that all the screws under the bottom of the chassis are flush because this can effect the ride height and handling badly.

The steel drive shafts are ok, dont see the point of them as you can still bend them as they are very thin, im not saying that they are not better, just that they can still bend...the ones on the TC3 and losi are better, they are very thick and i would say imposible to break, in my opinion it is a bit to much money to spend on something that can still break.

I have the steel driveshafts, the only reason I run them is because I used to snap the plastic ones when hitting kerbs when racing outdoors.

I have the alloy gear adaptor to let me run RW spurs, the grey stock main belt (I think the lastest Mission kits have these - at least an S1 version my brother built or a friend had one) and the RW diff pulleys (the newer versions have these)

I would get the blue bearings, but the Mi2 is so close to release... :- and again the newer kits have these.)

IMHO, I don't think it needs any alloy bits, its underweight as it is. ;D

hi all,

reason to belive that you cannot get the stell driveshafts now, they were very heavy but strong. schumacher now sell some very nice titainium driveshafts from TIR. these are very light and strong.

as for suggesting some hop ups, would try the fusion bulkheads for front and rear, i found these made the car change direction faster and feel more responsive but you may lose a touch of sideways traction by using them.

also would deffinately give the RW diff pullys a go. they run a lot more true than the std ones and offer less drag,

hope this helps

In order of visual preference : i.e purple alloy lovelys:

Layshafts
Hubs
Wheel Hex's (a must if you get the hubs)
Diff Mounts
Batt posts

To get the best outta ya car then :

Layshafts
Threaded shocks
RW Diff Pulleys
Gear Adaptor
Kwik Clips

For spares get a set of Ti pivot pins, and keep the steel ones as spares. Set of all 8 wishbones.

I've been racing since the beginning of Jan and the only thing that i've broke, well bent, is a front top pivot pin. This car is incredibly strong racing indoors. I cant comment on tarmac. Oh the front bumper will start to break so a spare one of them maybe.

2 make the car handle better get these parts:

- Fusion R12 bulkheads (front and rear) - The make the car alot more responsive and make it corner quicker!
- The purple alloy hubs - These make the car alot more responsive
- RW diffs - These make the car run alot smoother therefore making it go faster

if u want looks, then get these parts:

- Purple alloy hub carriers
- Purple alloy diff carriers
- Purple alloy battery posts
- Purple alloy layshaft mounts
- Purple alloy ariel mount
- Purple alloy wheel hex's

i think thats about it!
