Hi, just a quickie, do I need an offset wheel if I fit a 26mm on a mission?. I know the supplied ones are 24, and I've got 25 on at the mo, just wondering b4 I order some.

26's are fine, I use them with no problems.

One other question, I'm using them with T27's for carpet racing. What kind of insert should I use?, I'm only a beginner so something cheap is fine. Are the ones that come with the tyres any good?

use the soft inserts that come withe them on the back of the car, get some hard rubber inserts for the front, schue greens are good.

Ok got my tyres and rims. Should the rims be vented to allow air to get in and out. At the moment they are totally sealed, even without gluing. I can compress the tyre, lift a bit of the tyre rim, and it hisses as the air escapes, and then it stays compressed!.

Any Ideas?

Also, has anyone noticed that t27s appear to be cambered?, i.e. one side is higher than the other?. I'm gonna try em the other way round this time, which means that the highest side is closest to the car, should give flatter and faster cornering!. Maybe ;D

Dremel a couple of holes in the rims, rims usualy have ONE hole already cut in them!

Definately a small hole in the wheel - easier to drill before glueing the tyres!

Sounds like the camber could be to do with the rim. Some 26mm wheels have a bigger rim on the outside than the inside - forcing the outside up a bit. I would have to check which ones do and do not - I have a box of T27s stashed here somewhere ;)

I've just checked the ones that are on the car, and their the same, no holes and totally sealed!. Still got some tread left so I'll try and drill a hole or 2 in them.
