I see in the setup book it suggest 5,000 cts oil. Using something like Losi or AE oil ( I always use Losi) does that equate to 35 wt ?

This actually seems odd to me as the parts list doesn't list 5,000 - the nearest seems to be 6,000

I have tried to find a conversion chart, but I believe if you look on the serpent website and search for shock oil it mentions something on it i believe.

This is what i found

1 x 30W (350cst), 1 x 35W (600cst), 1 x 40W (1000cst) & 1 x 45W (1400cst)

according to xray cts and cps very similar so that would mean using 5000cps diff oil in the shocks.
i would say that should be 500cts similar to 500cps =32.5wt
removed link. went to a porn site!!!!! has an oil coverter on it.

oh mark, im sure the link would have given us more to look at than oil weights ;)

im trying to see what I can dig up in a way of a chart, nothing coming up yet, spedning more time on study right now than anything. I'll be back at work next week so will have some time to search for this unless someone finds it sooner

How about this from the xray website.

20W (309520) = 100cSt (359210)
25W (309525) = 200cSt (359220)
30W (309530) = 350cSt (359235)
35W (309535) = 600cSt (359260)
40W (309540) = 1000cSt (359301)
50W (309550) = 2000cSt (359302)

But to compare weights, I would use the same manufacturer of oil as they are will slightly different.

try this:
Serpent oil (04-01-2005)
rating W Cts
20 107
25 207
30 370
35 626
40 1070
45 1449
50 2250

5000 seems very high ! maybe they meant 500 ?
