Hi ive got a mini xray tc, using a novak XRS speedo with a reedy 17turn mod motor.
Does anyone know what sorta amp pull this combo will draw from the battery.
Iv used NiMh ib1400's till now but just got a lipo stop and planed to put the battery from my electric plane in the car, its a 1200mA 10c lipo pack, does this mean i cannot pull more than 12A outta the battery, i can only imagian the speed the car go's with the Nimh battery that it must pull more than 12A, but not sure.

hope ive explained myself correctly.

can anyone advise what to do???

cheers.

You will be pulling 6-8A constant however starting and aceleration can take 3-5 times that which is where the burst rate come in (you need to check that).

If you run 1000mA 10C cells then you will find a noticeable increase in acceleration and speed if you then run an 1800 20C as you will not be clipping the voltage. However the cells will be more expensive and heavier. 1200- 1300 10C would be a good battery to use

if you come up to the club next monday Graham will be able to point you in the right direction as he ran lipos in his xray. Or he may answer on here.
