Hi,
Just built the car and was wondering where you put the spacer blocks to enable anti squat / kick up etc. Obviously i know to put one under each pivot block F&R but in my old PRO 4 you could also put spacers either side of the suspension arm. The Cyclone ones are much longer than the spacer blocks so i am confused! Is it a case now that the spacer blocks only go under the very F & R pivot blocks (i.e. the ones with the degrees marked on them)

Thanks in advance for any help
Stephen

You need to put some small washers under the longer pivot blocks. These are available in variying thicknesses, and you can get them from most shops like Microtech racing. The car has the longer pivot blocks to allow for the belts, which would foul on the pivot blocks if the standard pro 4 ones were used.

The kit comes with 0.5mm and 2mm spacers for the purple pivot blocks. Most of the team run 1.5mm under all of the blocks on the car, so I'd advise you to get some 1mm and 0.5mm washers to allow you to change the roll centres in increments of 0.5mm.

HPI #75144 will give you all the spacers you need: http://www.hpieurope.com/piw.php?lang=en&partNo=75144

'Thickness 0.5mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm - 2pcs each'

Using these spacers is preferable to using washers because a) you only have 1 spacer to worry about instead of two smaller washer, and b) the spacers don't damage the carbon fibre, where the washers could damage the weave because of the smaller surface area. Not sure if anyone has actually experienced that problem but there ya go :)

Those spacers wont fit the longer spacer blocks i.e. the rear of the front set and front of the rear set.
You will still need to use washers under those as the holes in these spacers are not fare enough apart and anything between the ends would get in the way of the belts.

You'll still need washers for the longer pivot blocks, as I explained earlier.

is the cyclones roll centre the same as the pro 4?
I have been told the the pro 4 must run the 2mm spacer to be the same as a cyclone?
