Hopefully everyone enjoyed Sunday's meeting and especially the track ?
I mostly had very favourable comments on our most challenging layout for some time, I'd just like to thank Tom Hudson for the design and everyone helping setting up and packing the track away. We really do appreciate it. I personally loved the track layout , I know some people did get stuck and sometimes it wasn't easy to get to the cars but I hope on the whole it was favourable ?
I'm presently looking at running a points series at the next few meetings through November to January . If anyone has any ideas, best four results of six meetings for example, or any other ideas, please reply to this thread (nb it would just be for FUN, no prizes sorry)

Hello Pete,
yes thought the track was excellent well done Tom.
Had a good run in heats where my plastic magnets were only running on number 5 setting (although they went up to 6 in heat 4 ask Dave),but back up to full on for the final.
Looking forward to you running your brushless hope you get it for the next meeting.
For anyone who is reading this and has not tried racing at Stocksbridge I would highly recommend you give it a go as they run on a large carpet track with good layouts, running 4 heats and finals with a friendly atmosphere and good close racing.
See you on Sunday. Rob

Yeah it was a really nice track IMO the best we've ever had (the final changed everything as I could get around the track mostly without breaking mine and everyone elses cars (sorry Chris). The grip is definitely coming up with additive aswell making the 27rs work really well. Theres still the odd bit of fluff covering the car and the endbell but its much better than what it used to be like.
It was nice to see some spectators for the finals aswell. :D
Why not run a league and a handicap league for those who improve the most from the last one that way everyone has a good chance of winning something?
I know you're not doing prizes but just got a few ideas:
Or have a trophy/ BIWS 'plate' with the winners names engraved each season/ handicap season as soon as the cup/ plate is full the last winner takes it home, that way it cuts costs of trophies for the club.
If (if) you were doing a trophy series it would have to cover more than 6 meetings anyway (more like 10 like Donny) to be of any benefit of getting some numbers to the club who would race quite regularly. It might not be that cost effective to give everyone a trophy- (like the club has done in the past in numerous Thursday meetings and the odd Sunday meetings) but I like that it makes everything equal.
Nice idea having a little series-I like the sound of that. It makes a nice change from a normal club meeting in a way.

Thanks for the compliments on the tracks guys it is appriciated working on the next one now so il try and scan it and post it up on here if i can il try not to let the standards or the track drop, or get to simple or to complex which has happened in the past.
love the idea of a series it will be the only one this winter i have a good chance to win, dont need prizes really or do what don vally do and give out laminated certificates better than nothing, think we should do qualifiy where your best 2 rounds go to your final position, pole setter gets an extra point then just 1st=100 2nd=99 etc.
only other thing is i will be driving a touring car as i cant get a cyclone 12 until i save abit more money so it will probably be after christmas.
just looked back at lee's post and i like his idea of a plate but not for the top drivers take the top 3 and choose their most improved driver of the series so you would get 3 plates for people who deserve them rather than the same people getting stuff all the time.
