hello there,
i am having drivetrain trouble with my tc3.
basically the problem is that the center drive shaft and spur gear are wobbling and not spinning true. the center spur only seems to be wobbling towards the back of the car.
i have tried doing all these things to fix the prob:
different center long driveshaft
i bought a new IRS spur gear adaptor and tried that
different rear input shaft
different spur gears
different drive cup and the bearings seem to be smooth
does anyone have any suggestions as the car is seriously suffering because of this!
the IRS spur gear adaptor lessened the problem.
thankyou in advance!

another question, has anyone used the irs aluminium input shafts and also the irs aluminium drive cups?
i think these may solve the problem (and the aluminium shafts are cheaper than the stock associated ones)
thanks

hey Nick
Hey nick i had this prob with my old team kit. i replaced the spur gear adaptor. i purchased and irs one and to be honest it woas a terrible fit! Scrap the fancy blue parts they dont make you go fast! just look fast! get another plastic one and just pinch the screws up. this should solve it. if not have you checked your layshaft bearings????

mine is an old tc3 team kit. i have the irs part and it fits really nicely! slid straight on nice and tight etc. i have checked the bearings and they seem smooth and ok!
i have a feeling that the spur gear adaptor and spur are definitely not the problem

Losi's are actually very very good cars. They are equally powered and have both their strengths and weaknesses.

My opinion might be a bit biasd as I have only driven a TC3 but I thought I would just say that I think the TC3 is a very good car. It has done me very proud and moves freely, has good stability and is very reliable. Oh yeah, it is also a fast car.

Everyone has their own opinion, atleast there is freedom of speech here. . . . .
As for me, I think the Yokomo is the japanese version of the TC3. Me and my friend were parking lot racing and out lap times were relevantly close, he beat me by a couple of seconds. So all cars have their pros and cons. No car is perfect, and when they become perfect, they will still have problems.
All I'm trying to say is that every car is bad and good in someways, and your opinion doesn't have much effect on the RC industry.
