Ball diff maintenance

How often should the diff balls be changed?
Other than a visual check, is there a good way of checking condition of diff balls?

If it feels gritty then change the balls. Also, when you finish racing for the day, untighten your diff abit to relieve pressure from the diff.

Depends how often you race really..

A smooth rear diff is essential to a good handling car IMO.
