At a track where I gear 5.6:1 with a 19t brushed, I geared my 13.5 at 3.7:1 and felt like it needed to go higher.

Hi
Sorry dont know the track, but on my track i geared at 5.1 with my T2 (84 Spur / 24 Pinion) with my Novak 13.5 Pro (Sintered Rotor)
My Track is a fast open track, with a very small technical section. The motor would have taken more, but I did not have the spur to do it. The car was easily keeping up with everyone else, and gave a guy running a 19turn a fair go as well.
The general advice is to gear up 2-3 teeth then you would normally run on stock at your track, and aslong as the motor is less than 120 deg after your run then your OK.
Set it at 5.1 do a heat and then see where you go from there..
Hope this helps

Opps - Make that a 84 Spur and 28 Pinion to give a 5:1 ratio
The one quoted in my reply (84/24) was my original CO27 Stock gearing
Sorry for the confusion

At West London the 27t's use around 6.1 FDR, the 13.5 Bonded motors use between 5.0 to 5.5 depending on the ESC.
