HI,
Just wondered if any of you are greasing the diff gears(main drive gear to diff gear) ?? Some friends running TC3's sware they run better/more freely for greasing with a very small amount of a teflon based grease.
What are your thoughts on this and if you are using a grease - What type Please ??
Thanks

Just put one or two little blobs of grease on the gears, you only need a small amount on, if you put too much on it will just fly off anyway. For the grease just use whatever grease you use to build your diffs, I use the Associated clear stuff.

i use a slightly thicker black grease, but works just affectavlty.

I NEVER put grease on diffs, the nylon runs smoothy enough already.

Mine have been covered with a thin layer of silicone grease thsts been flung out of the diff so I dont think there is a lot of point in adding any specific grease for this.

Grease doesn't stick very well to nylon. . . . .what I would do is dip it on some teflon lubercant.

Ran tonight with the slightest amount of teflon grease on the gears (and i mean very little)
Less noisey and ran very well although it was also my first night using ceramic ballraces and there great ;D
Anyway i'd say alittle teflon grease is good
£5 @ halfords cycle dept. for a huge tube that will last forever

See, even after the grease spins off, the teflon will stick onto the nylon = a very smooth gear.

I use this type of bike chain lube. Its fron "finish line" products. I dunno if they sell it where you live . . . .
