Another great day - thanks to all the guys at Colchester, we really enjoyed it.

I agree entirely with the comment about the race marshall, i think that the mere fact a race marshall was present upped the driving standard across all classes. It just goes to show that most drivers CAN race considerately when they know they are being watched - what a change from Southend.

Can't wait for Ipswich, hope we're going to get the fantastic 'his and her' race commentry like last year :-)

Phil the reason you did bad at Southend was not because of other drivers, it was because you stopped a lap before your number was called. Its always someone elses fault with you!

Thanks Colchester for a good day, I enjoy that track (just hate the path to it :D )

I wish the race marshall bit was true, but their eyes can only be on one area of the track, and then you find yourself being used as brakes in another area because "you where going to slow".

Still makes me chuckel !

Well the weather held for us again, albeit a little breezy.
And new lap records were set in all classes. Will they get even quicker next year???We'll have to wait and see.

Lookin forward to the final round just up the road in the 'carrot-crunching county'.:D

See ya all there.
Paul.

P.S.Some nice piccies there Paul.;)

apologies for anyone who struggled under mine and my father's race marshalling,
as has been mentionned it is hard for either of us to watch any more than the first 2 or 3 cars in any given race, the best we could do was notify slower cars that they were being lapped, and to suggest drivers wait for others after over-ambitious moves have been made...

we may well be restructuring our refereeing methods for next year, its just that we were short of help this year, and ideally would have 2 referees in any given race, each watching roughly 3 or 4 cars, so that all battles on track can be followed

our only other issue is admittedly lack of space on the rostrum, i have to admit i was more distracted than my father about having to be hanging off one side of the rostrum

we are trying to create more revenue to ammend the lane to our track as well as having more sturdy parking for in the winter, so if you enjoyed our track and would like to see it develop as we would like it to, then feel free to come along and race on a future sunday, this weekend is electric points, only i'm certain the majority will be going for practice days at ipswich
