Ever get one of them moments where you get a great idea buzz into your head?
Well I just had one. ... ...
You think Yokomo will release a Shaft Drive Buggy?

Associated makes one, imported from germany.

I think it will depend on the success of the tourer. If successful it will 'easier' for many reasons for Yokomo to make all their range of products use 'common' parts...

But I hope they do, just not yet though, leave it about two years - only just bought a MR4-BC-Special '03. Haven't even used it in anger yet!
Just my luck that in two weeks we'll see:
'new Yokomo SD-BC to be released in time for Summer Season!'...

Are any parts interchangeable between the SD and the MR4TC?

I had heard for a good source ;) that somebody had coverted a Yoke buggy into shaft drive using bits from the touring car....But I don't know who it is...

I know someone who's planning to do something similar but not sure how far it's progressed.
P.S. It's definitely not me as the BC is going very sweetly for me right now! ;D ;D ;D

I not talking about like a user created mod here, I talking about Yokomo producing a shaft drive buggy...
Technically it would be possible, and rather easy...

There is rather more to it than meets the eye.
Slapping a set of wide arms on and hammering into the box does not a good offroad car make!!!
There are numerous geometry differences that are required between touring car and buggy, plus there is the matter of the weight distribution which will require more than a little tweek!!!
Ok, you lot have cought me out, we (that is myself and Doom) are looking at this and believe me it is not "rather easy" to do but it is possible.
It is very early days but you could say we are confident that a good car can be created.
Please don't ask any questions as very little, if anything is finalised yet. Trust me, the race chat users will be the first to know.

Saw pics of that on rc tech.
Yokomo are unlikely to release a BC-SD. Masami said so and he stopped racing off road.
