Just setting up my XXXS G for indoor carpet racing and i have filled the shocks with 40wt (front) and 45wt (rear) oil, however, what springs would everyone recommend.

I'm currently racing In Mod with a 13x2

If you are running foams, start with the kit springs, pink front silver yellow. I run dark green on the front for bore bite at the front, with the front wish boned set right back. If you are running rubbers, I have very little experience with rubbers on carpet, I did try some sc22's yesterday with a stock motor so my mate could get a comparison and the car was dialled with the same settings.

If you wold like my setup PM me. This is for prima felt GT with lots of grip.

I would try purple all round. There is a guy who runs this at a club near mine and his cars handles great.

i run mine on schumacher yellow minipins - with 45 wt oil in the front and 40 wt in the rear - i recommend the team losi shock oil as it supposed to be the best oil to keep its consistantcy in all tempretures. Also i run blue springs on the front and pink on the rear. I find this set up really good, i havent had the car long so i will be workin on it alot more soon, hope we can exchange tips soon.

Try Black fronts, Blue rears. Worked best when I used the Losi. Eliminates some chassis roll on the front and rear, making the car hold more corner speed. Still has plenty of front end grip with 40wt oil all round.

Hope this helps, Liam. :)

Having ran my xxx-s g+ for the second time last night here are my findings.

I run at watford, not sure exactly of the carpet. they use T27 controlled tires. I used them with the standard foams you get in the packet. the centre arrows pointing forward when looking at the top of the car.

1st week running it using everyting completely kit (even the oil you get in the kit) it was not too good. though I was running on some old borrowed T27's

using some new T27's last night I went to 60wt in the front with purple springs, kit oil in the rear with blue springs and front roll bar (Losi front roll bar kit 2nd smallest). everything else EXACTLY as the g+ kit. this was quite good on the hairpins and sweepers but on the chicanes once you got the weight throwing from side to side the back would become loose.

went back to silver springs on the back this made the car very good, was still good on the hairpins and sweepers but kept the back more planted on weight transfur chicanes. still not perfect though. I only got 2 runs last night as I had to leave early.
