hey all,

ive never seen this oppertunity to change the pulley size on a car before, ie 18t or 20t.

I wanted to know what advantage each pulley has? whats the point in changing them, because if you make your overall gear ratio the same, then surely there would be no difference in the performance of the car!? ???

The tooth stress on a larger pulley is less and the bend radius of the belt is less, all adding to greater efficiency. HTH

Theres a bit more to it than that Stuart, I think (actually I know!) it is mainly about the torque transfer - the leverage change that goes with the pulley/gear diameters.
