View Full Version : TRC Wheels

Does anyone know where i can get TRC rear wheels from? I'm running an Assoc L3, and have been using the associated / jaco wheels but i keep breaking them around the screw holes on them. The TRC wheels (the multi-bolt ones) seem to have much thicker plastic around that area so i tried the TRC T&G Greys, and they seem fine. Now i want to put some corally tyres onto wheels ready for the nationals, but i would prefer it if they were TRC wheels.
Sorry if i took a long time to ask a simple question, any help much appreciated.

When I tried to get hold of just the TRC wheels, I was told that Helgar don't bring in just wheels, only T&G sets, but things might have changed.
Best way is probably drop them a line.
But from what I have seen over the past few years at the nationals, it is the TRC wheels that tend to break. They seem to be a more brittle plastic than the Jaco versions.
I think also (and I'm sure someone else can confirm) that TRC wheels give a fractionally wider track than Jaco. I know on the Calandra this could make it illegal, not sure about the Associated.
Probably not the answer you wanted to read :(

Couldn't you just sand a little off of the wheel on a tyre truer if the wheels made the track too wide?

kieth on my calandra it was the other way round....jaco's required only a tiny bit of spacing on the axle, TRC's required quite a bit more.
i have seen alot more TRC's break than jacos at nats, the only thing i ever suffered from with jacos was the whole stripping out in the wheel.
TRC's seem more brittle....as kev found out many times last year!

Thanks for your answers. I guess i will just stick with Jaco then - maybe its just my driving... I didn't realise TRC wheels broke as easily too.
Thanks again

Oli,
I know where you can get hold of some wheels (I had 10 sets of TRC's last year), you'll have to PM me for the info as I don't want to break any of the rules with regards to advertising.
