MRS4 Front Wheel Drive - Front Diff Problem??

Dear All,

I have a problem with a new RTR MRS4. The front wheels dont spin freely whilst the motor/belt is held. In other words when the motor runs, the front wheels always rotate. In contrast either rear wheel can slip (be held still) with the motor running. I have several other MRS4s and there is no problem, all wheels can slip.

I am only a beginner but this sould like a front diff problem? Had no crash so whats the explanation? The car is new, should I contact HPI? BTW, the car still runs fine, but its got permenant front wheel drive as a result.

A follow-up to this. HPI were not very helpful and said take it to any model shop to investigate.

However, I realise the problem is the front diff has locked. The thing is this has turned the front diff into a spool (locked axle) which actually works quite well, albeit not stock.
