Start with what it suggests near the start of the instruction book.

Glenn,

for a tight track, I run 16T to 92T and on a large open track I generally gear up by 2 or 3 teeth.

I dont know what the manual says, never really used their guida as every track and motor is different and needs gearing set accordingly !!!

Manual says 19/92 but I've heard the manual ratios may be for State side 4 min racing.

Ran a 13x2 instead on 20/90. Going from your 11t ratio I would be over geared by by a couple teeth for indoors.

Like I said Glen, never taken the manuals advice on gearing.

My advice is based on trial, test and on occasion, error !!!!
I think the general rule is 18/92 for a 10x1 on a large track.

I then go up or down 1 tooth per wind, but for a small track
I start with 15/92 for a 10x1.

Hope this makes sense.....

Makes sense.

I've run a Pred since the XK5. I'll work back on Pred ratios' and apply them to Losi.

Alright mate, try gearing it on 21/90. 90 is the Orange spur. This may sound high but trust me,its bang on!

I ran a 10x2 on 22/90 on sunday outdoors and would run the same gearing if it were indoors, gearing on a 16 tooth pinion is well under geared
