I know that the xxx-s G+ uses larger wheel hexes than the original car, does this mean that wheels for the tc3 etc will fit? Also would the tc3 wheels be the same offset?

not sure on this one, I know the xxx-s now comes with 2 hex's the one it tells you to use in the instructions seems to be the 'standard' size but off-set, not a clue in that.
sorry

The Losi XXXS uses 0 off-set wheels, and as far as I know so does the TC3.

I have a standard XXX-S and also got 2 types of hex in the box however one is the standard size and the other is the smaller Losi size.

The standard size hex works on some wheels but on others (such as Schumacher) the hex hole in the wheel is too deep for the hex itself so would cause the wheels to rub. Do I need another set of hex parts (the G+ ones?) or can I never run certain types of wheel?

Thanks

I got Schumacher wheel to fit on my Losi, but only after attacking them with Mr Dremmel both on the inside and out. The webbing around the hex on the wheels has to be cut back, plus the area under the wheel nut has to be dremmeled so as to get the nyloc nut to lock.

Though I am not certain, I would imagine that the G+ hex kit would have the same problems as you have all ready.

DCM's suggestion may be the only way to get them to fit, though I would like to be proved wrong

Sounds like serious wheel surgery. My main concern was pre-glued sets such as those used for the STCC (they may be OK - haven't bought mine yet) won't fit my car and wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a trick to make all wheels fit such as wider hexes etc.

OK, I see your problem now.

I have run LRP VTEC premounted wheels/tires on my g+ with the larger hex's without a problem. not sure if that is any use to you but maybe someone has a set you could try on your car. mine fit fine.

just for referance, what tires are the control tire?

Good idea. I'll have to wait til someone else gets theirs.

Its the same as last year apparently - Team Corally/TakeOff SSB

another idea is look in the back of your manual at the part number for those hex's
then look in the back of the manaul for the xxx-s g+ (available at the Losi website) and see if they are the same part number.

if they are, I would imgaine that they are the same.

trying someone else's would ultimately be the easiest option though
