I have now got enough money for a stock motor, although there are too many and im finding it hard to choose, i was thinking of the team orion core stock, is this any good.

Also, i have a 6 cell chassis, would it be worth going 4 cell mod, and if so, which mod would be good.

I have 60 quid to spend.

Cheers

P.s, would i be able to use 2400 nicds with a mod motor, as ive heard that 3000 and 3300 are best for mod.

your not ( ;))your not going to need alot of torque for a 12th scale motor, as 12th scales are lighter and more efficient than a T/c or buggy.

go for a "monster stock" by demon or trinity, or a Fantom "silver" motor.

if all you have is 24's, i would advise you to stay in the 6 cell class.... you wont notice alot of difference at all between the two, and if you went to mod, you may dump etc and you wont enjoy it as much.

hope that helps

Matt - shouldn't that be "you WON'T need a lot of torque for a 1/12th car."? I would argue that the lighter the car the less force required to get it moving and hence the less torque required!

Martin - Matt's advice is very sound. I would also concur about sticking to 27-turn with 6-cells using 2400s - you will honestly not notice the speed difference and will last the race time. HTH. :)

go with the monster stock from trinty, v-good motors. i ran one for the last 3 meetings at WB and it when very well and i dint notice alot of diffrence between my stock and others mods etc. also with 1/12 being so small and efficent the motors last longer. i havent toched mine and it still goes v-well. i have now just change to mod so lets see how that goes, bring on sun 11th lol
