Tyre sizes

Hi all

What diamater tyre size do you start with for new tyres, i have trued mine down to 50 front 54 rear at the moment, what would be the best size and what are the reasons????

It depends on the level you compete at ;D

Some drivers true them down a lot smaller than that but they can afford (or their sponsor can) to run once and discard :'(

I race at club level and support the bottom finals at nationals :D and I start mine at 52R and 50F. When they go to 48R or 47F I use them for club racing only.

I find the corally easier to drive with bigger tyres, seems the additive soaks in better.
