HI everybody,
i'm new in here also new in this RC world...i just bought hyper 10.

I want to ask something about this car:
> can i put a heat sink at the motor because i see there is no space ro put the heatsink?

> any of u know how to make the esc and motor cold..because when i play in 2-3 mint the esc and motor become very vey hot.( i use spur118 pinion41 motor yokomo T-max RSL 23t)(ESC lpr sprinter)

>is this car can put a one way?

>How to make the absober or the shock become "good". because i heard the absober is not good.

>What is the advantage and disadvantage of this car.

--------> sorry, my english is not very good. I hope some one will solve my problem

Hi
I'm not an expert but your gearing sounds out. I run 90 spur and the pinion from 22 to 27 depending upon the track. Hope this helps.
Ps I have never had a problem with the shocks.

Thanks Man,
So, what is your gear Ratio?

Please note that the transmition ratio is 2.13 : 1

Spur Pinion Gear Ratio Final ratio
Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*Â*
90 Â*27Â*Â*Â* 3.33Â*Â*Â* 7.10
93Â*Â* Â*27Â*Â* Â*3.44Â*Â*Â* 7.34
90Â*Â*Â* 25Â*Â*Â* 3.60Â*Â*Â* 7.67
93Â*Â*Â* 25Â*Â*Â* 3.72Â*Â*Â* 7.92
90Â*Â*Â* 23Â*Â*Â* 3.91Â*Â*Â* 8.33
93Â*Â*Â* 23Â*Â*Â* 4.04Â*Â*Â* 8.61
90Â*Â*Â* 22Â*Â*Â* 4.09Â*Â*Â* 8.71
93Â*Â* Â*22Â*Â*Â* 4.23Â*Â* Â*9.00
90Â*Â*Â* 19Â*Â*Â* 4.74Â*Â*Â* 10.09
93Â*Â*Â* 19Â*Â*Â* 4.89Â*Â* Â*10.43

I use 90 spur 25 pinion the most with a 19 Turn motor and 2000 cells
hope this helps.

Okey...
what is final ratio? can u explain it to me?

The Final gear ratio is calculated using the ratio created by the spur gear and pinion for example 90 / 25 = 3.6 Multiplied by the ratio of the transmission i.e. the differential and the idler gear, which for the ho bao is 32 / 15 = 2.13'
Giving a final gear ratio of 3.6 * 2.13 = 7.668
The final gear ratio is useful when comparing gear ratios from different cars as most have a different transmission ratio. I think the tc3 uses a ratio of 2.5
This is why you cannot use the same pinion and spur gear as a tc3 and get the same performance.

yes, you can put a small heatsink on it

and the gearing really is down to the track, my brother uses a reedy spec class motor(19turn) with a 78spur, and a 32pinion, this gives a final ratio of 5.2(please note this is on a very straight outdoor track!!! this gearing would be rubbish on an indoor ;D)

few hop-ups are available for this car(i think)but im sure you could fit a one-way in it, as it looks like a pretty standard diff, also when i took it apart then put it back together again i found it quite hard to rebuild, and now the diff is constanly rock solid, and not very smooth(something to note if you're not such a great driver like myself ::))

i found nothing wrond with the shocks, but to start with i built the shocks with no oil in them!!! ;D very foolish, but they run fine now,... come to think of it they are quite slow to respond, but thats down to what oil you use

advantages- nice price, impossible to oversteer(well..my bro's setup is!)
...and carbon...mmmm, also a very easy car to change gears, two screws and you've got your spur off!(the exact opposite to the mr4)

disadvantage-almost nowhere for electronics!, my brother runs it with his rx at the front right of the chassis, and when it gets wet, the car drives itself with interferance!..apart from that nothing

ahhh some hyper 10 owners at last......im gald im not the only one
i love the car and it is great for the car lot racing that i do
good things about the car:- i can now beat my friends kyosho pure10 aplpha gp were my tlo1 couldnt (who says petrol cars are faster!) and it handels very well with quite a neutral balence(on my setup anyway)
down sides to the car:- the fornt diff keeps on coming loose though some threadlock will solve that and also my right rear shock has never worked very well (i dont know why) but apart from that a nice cheap easy to drive quick beginers car

It was my dad's first car, I bought it for his B-day, he loves it! Anyways, I put on a Novak XXl reciever. They are really small and ideal for the Hyper 10. You have to pay a little bit more for smaller electronic components or else you will have a very cramped chassis.
